We have successfully raised funds to setup the infrastructure on the estate where I live in East London for food gardening. Also we have got some initial funds to run a weekly gardening club for kids on the estate. We already have a bunch of 15 boys who play out on the estate and are keen to join in when we get the tools out, but we hope with a more official session being run we will grow the number of kids participating. We will also be training up adults on the estate to be the helpers with the club.
